There is serious talk of a November 2016 measure that would provide funds for the widening of Highway 1 between Soquel Drive and State Park Drive. The benefits of the widening will be negligible, the costs enormous. What is needed is a measure to fund Metro, the rail trail, and studies of passenger rail.
